Three-color sailboat palette coloring page

Try your colors in three swatches on the same printable sheet before coloring the original sailboat.

How do I plan the colors? Test one color in A for both sails, one in B for the hull, and one in C for the water. Then use those same colors on the matching lettered parts of the boat. The sky and sun are your choice.

Original sailboat printable with three empty color test boxes labeled A sail, B hull and C water

Use the swatches as a small rehearsal

Same-source sailboat guide with one possible warm sail, coral hull and teal water color plan

A — sails: test a color in box A, then fill both sails. B — hull: test a second color in B, then fill the boat body. C — water: test a third color in C, then color around the wave lines.

Same-source check: The example uses amber sails, coral hull and teal water. Its geometry comes from the same drawing code as the black-and-white printable; only the three labeled areas are filled. It is one possible plan, not a required color key.

Leave a little white space in each test box if you want to compare a light and dark stroke of the same pencil. The boxes stay on the sheet, so the plan travels with the drawing.
