Use the mirror guide

The example at left reflects our original left-wing drawing around the dashed body line. It shows one possible answer, not a required color scheme.
- Outer edge: start beside the body near the top and trace a matching curve on the blank side.
- Pattern: place the long oval, small eye shape, and two round spots at the same heights as on the left.
- Color: choose whether both wings match or have different colors.
Drawing check: the answer wing uses the exact left-wing paths reflected across the center line. The six short center marks are aligned with features from top to bottom.
Quick answers
Must the two wings be identical?
For a mirror drawing, copy each outline and marking at the same distance from the center. For a free-design activity, make a different pattern on the blank wing.
Which file should I print?
Choose the A4 or US Letter PDF that matches your paper and print at actual size. If an edge clips, use your printer’s fit-to-printable-area setting; the artwork will shrink slightly.
Can I download an image?
Yes: A4 PNG or Letter PNG, each with 300 DPI metadata.
Do I need to copy the example exactly?
No. It is a visual guide. The worksheet stays useful if you add your own shapes and colors.
