Draw your own snail shell patterns coloring page

This original snail has three open shell zones. Fill each zone with a pattern you choose, then color the snail.

Where do I draw the patterns? Start in the small inner zone marked 1, continue through the middle ring marked 2, and finish in the wide outer ring marked 3. Try dots, short lines and waves, or invent your own marks.

Original printable snail with three empty numbered shell zones ready for hand-drawn patterns

See one way to fill the three zones

Same-source diagram with dots in inner shell, short lines in middle shell and waves in outer shell

1 — inner shell: put a few dots near the center. 2 — middle ring: repeat short slanted lines with space between them. 3 — outer ring: draw a row of waves along the large open band.

Original drawing check: The blank printable and this example use the same shell and body paths. Only the red example marks are added, so the guide shows exactly which open zones you can use. The red marks are a suggestion, not an answer key.

You can swap the three marks or make a new pattern. Leave room around the printed numbers, then color the shell, body and background.
