Complete the pond scene

The left side shows a pond bank and reeds. The right side is open for you to draw. Three dots show where the shore and water lines begin.

What should I draw? Continue each of the three lines from its dot, then add your own pond details such as a bridge, plants, or an animal. Color the scene when you are done.

Original printable pond scene with completed left side and open right side

One way to finish the scene

Original completed pond diagram adding a bridge, reeds and a frog on the right

Our example adds a small bridge over the near bank, tall reeds, and a frog on a lily pad. It is an option, not an answer you must copy.

  1. Match the line ends: start at each dot so the far shore, near bank and water line flow across the page.
  2. Choose your details: leave open water or draw a bridge, plants, and a pond animal.
  3. Color last: use different colors to separate the bank, water and objects you added.

Drawing check: the worksheet and example use the same three original left-side paths. The example extends those paths and adds new right-side shapes; it is not a mirror of the left.

Quick answers

Do I need to copy the example?

No. Connect the three lines if you want a continuous scene, then invent your own objects and colors.

Is this a symmetry worksheet?

No. The missing side is an open scene; it does not need to match the left.

Which file should I print?

Choose the A4 or US Letter PDF that matches your paper and print at actual size. If the border clips, use fit to printable area; the drawing will shrink slightly.

Can I download an image?

Yes: A4 PNG or Letter PNG, each with 300 DPI metadata.
